Dear Parents and Guardians,
Troop 101 following the guidelines of the Boy Scouts of America wants to help your son become a young man of good character, with organizational and leadership skills, and carry these skills into adulthood, all while having fun in the great outdoors.
The link provided here to our Troop 101 Scout Parent/Guardian Guide contains usefull information for any parent or guardian of a Troop 101 Scout. Please refer to it for fundamental information about scouting, our troop philosophy, and procedures.
Here is a link to the National Council Scout Parents Website. It offers additional information on how parents/guardians may help their son get the most from scouting.
Information discussed in the Troop 101 guide:
We feel the scouting experience should be a Worthwhile, Safe, Fun, Wholesome, Growth experience for your son. Giving him skills and character he can carry into adulthood. Any group organization needs evolving philosophy and procedures to assure uniform application, continued success and constant improvement. We appreciate your son being with us on this journey and we welcome your support and communication.
If needed, here is a form for Experienced Uniforms. These are uniforms that have been gently pre-owned. This is a council program based on availability.
Sincerely,
Troop 101 Committee
