We will be participating in the Alliance are camp out at
Silver Park in Alliance Ohio from May 9-10.
Details to come!!!

Memorial Day seems so far away and with the snow outside it seems like the last thing to be discussing but it will be here before you know it. The Alliance Memorial Day Committee has already begun the monthly preparation meetings and the Buckeye Council has announced the 2014 Operation Flag Campaign. As in years past, Scouts earn the patch by completing at least 2 of the following 3 events.
1.  Decorating Veteran's graves with flags
2.  Taking part in a Memorial Day Parade
3.  Retrieving flags from Veteran's graves
The parade will of course take place on Memorial Day beginning on Linden Ave. by the Alliance Review Office and ending at the City Cemetery on Vine Street.  The Committee has again asked the Boy Scouts to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the Cemetery program.  We are trying to arrange a multi-troop presentation to do this this year and having as many scouts as possible participate would be outstanding.
The Committee has set Thursday May 22 as the day of setting flags at the City Cemetery and Saturday June 7 as the retrieval day.  Retrieval is the most critical as last year there were lots of people to help place the flags but only a few to retrieve them.  We as a troop have traditionally set and retrieved flags at the Mt. Union Cemetery by Silver Park and have been asked to do that again this year.  We will set flags on Saturday May 24 and retrieve them on Saturday June 7.  If you can't make the Mt Union dates with the troop, you can always volunteer at the City Cemetery.  The Memorial Day Committee needs as many volunteers as possible and Scouts have always come through to assist.  It is also a good community service project at a great way to earn service hours for those in need.

Any questions please reach out to Mr Yost.

We will arrive at the ship at 3:30pm and will travelling by chartered bus.

Here is a link to all the details! Trip Details
If you have any questions please ask Mr. Yost or Mr. Quinn

Due to the UMU construction next to the church, parking is a premium. The university has agreed to allow parking for church business in their lot. University security will continue to enforce parking restrictions with students and will ticket cars without UMU or UAUMC Parking Pass. Anyone ticketed who is participating in any church related business (Boy Scout or Cub Pack included) will have their ticket voided at the UMU security office, BUT to avoid this hassle, please print and use the pass linked below.

We have been asked to park in the gravel parking lot behind the Dollar store if at all possible to help with the limited parking that is available. We will try and have someone at the door on the south side of the church so we can easily enter thru there.
